The 2016 European Worm Meeting

European Worm Meeting

June 1 – 3, 2016

Max Delbrück Center (MDC), Berlin

Organizers: Janine Kirstein & Baris Tursun

Dear Worm Friends and Colleagues,
We cordially invite you to the 2016 European Worm Meeting (EWM) taking place June 1 – 3 in Berlin (Germany) at the Max Delbrück Center (MDC). Worldwide all scientists are welcome to attend the 2016 EWM in Berlin!

This meeting is supported by COST action BM1408.

A key feature of the 2016 EWM is to avoid parallel sessions such that participants working on different research topics are exposed to the work of other worm groups. This concept was overwhelmingly appreciated by almost all participants of our 2014 worm meeting in Berlin and therefore has been maintained for the 2016 EWM.

We are looking forward to a diverse scientific meeting with many opportunities for networking with international worm researchers.

Please note, that we have limited the number of participants to 500 such that registration might be closed before the initial deadline. Registration will be based on ‘first-come, first-serve’ basis.
The Keynote will be given by:
Susan Gasser (FMI Basel, CH)

Invited Speakers:
Nektarios Tavernarakis (University of Crete, GR)
Ralf Sommer (MPI Tübingen, DE)
Jean-Louis Bessereau (Lyon Univ., FR)

Peter Askjaer (Andalusian Centre for Developmental Biology, ES)
Ehud Cohen (Hebrew University Jerusalem, IL)
Maria Doitsidou (University of Edinburgh, UK)

Looking forward to welcoming you in Berlin!

Best wishes,
Janine Kirstein
