Our lab works about the genetic of the aging process. More specifically, we study the links between nutrition, reproduction, lipid metabolism and lifespan. Indeed, all of these processes are closely intertwined, yet little is known about the way they interconnect. Our work aims at (1) identifying new molecules capable of mediating these evolutionary conserved links and (2) at understanding how they work. C. elegans is very useful to this end since its lifespan is short and its reproductive apparatus relatively simple.
