Genetic regulation of ageing in Caenorhabditis elegans
Under unfavorable conditions, C. elegans responds with developmental changes, delay of reproductive period and increased longevity. We are interested in the genes and genetic pathways involved in the regulation of these decisions. We identified mutants in genes not previously identify to regulate longevity and development. Those mutants are affected in metabolic genes and in genes involved in the regulation of a hormonal pathway. We are interested in the genetic and biochemical characterization of those mutants
