Using bioinformatics tools, C. elegans and human cell culture systems as models my research group is studying:

– cilia development and cilia function as signaling centers
– evolutionary aspects of transcription factor mediated gene regulation
– molecular mechanisms underlying human neuro-developmental and -degenerative diseases
– cellular redox state management and its impact on cellular physiology (with a focus on neurons)”
